meal and plastic fabrication, computer controls, software development
and mechanical and structural engineering. |
| Purpose:
The device scans over a 24 x 35-foot map with a video camera, zooming
in on points of interest as a teaser to get visitors to learn more
about the sites and the history of Washington State. |
| How it works:
The device is pre-programmed to scan over the surface of the map and
stop at one of 100 points. The video camera, controlled by a RS-485
connection, the zooms in on the tag containing text. After a delay,
the camera zooms out and moves to the next position. |
